History

Established in 1816.

The original Inn was built in 1816 by Samuel Hambleton who was an aid to Commodore Oliver Perry in the War of 1812. The Inn was designed and built to resemble Perry’s cabin on the Flagship USS Niagara. Throughout history, it has been a private home, a working farm, a riding academy and now a charming Inn.
